New York State Senator John Mannion taught AP Biology and Chemistry at West Genesee Central School District and the Syracuse City School District for three decades. When ran for the State Senate it was because he was tired of seeing funding decreases for schools that made it harder for kids to learn. In the State Senate, he worked with Republicans and Democrats to deliver big for Central New York, including passage of the Green Chips legislation that helped bring Micron to Syracuse, accelerating middle class tax cuts and protecting a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions.
